- The yellow belt is more focused on personal skills. This belt is designed to help students manage their problems and build confidence while learning the basics and essentials of the methodology.
- The green belt is team-based. They are taught how to work together, problem-solve, lead, and develop more skills, while the practical part of Sigma is approached by our team so they can work within different industries and, thus, companies.
Everything About LSS for High School Students
Beyond the facts and elements listed above, training goes beyond that. You should be able to do any job in which implementing Sigma is at the top of the priority list, and we want to show you how to help yourself in the event of a personal project.
Students should be able to understand the system and how to work in an LSS group after completing this training. They will be able to use the information they have acquired and the hours spent on it.
Just like regular courses, the belt will determine what topics and skills are covered. Don’t worry, though; each belt will prepare for every opportunity.
- Yellow belt training also includes:
The basics of data collection, terminology, and methodology will all be covered. Students will also be taught the basics of data collection and key principles.
- Green belt training includes:
Lean 6 Sigma will be taught to them at a higher level, but they must have the knowledge from the yellow belt to qualify for the certification and even this training.
Students will be able to use the methodology on a large scale once they have completed this green belt training. To help students achieve their goals, we encourage teamwork and leadership.
This belt training covers the following topics: DMAIC and SIPOC, risk mitigation, regression analysis, and problem-solving.
After completing their training, students can opt to obtain their certifications.
We want them to feel at ease and be able to learn in LSS yellow belt and green belt without feeling rushed.
At Lean Six Sigma Curriculum Pros of Grand Rapids, we will ask them to take an exam they must pass to get their certificate. This will either be right after the final hours of training, the day after or a few days later.
